FanDuel Predicts has made a significant push this week, targeting some of the largest untapped markets in the U.S., including California and Texas. Combined, these two states boast over 70 million residents, none of whom currently have access to legal online sports betting through FanDuel’s traditional sportsbook.
Expansion Highlights
The recent rollout now includes:
- California
- Texas
- Florida
- Georgia
- Delaware
- Hawaii
- Idaho
- Minnesota
- Nebraska
- New Mexico
- Oklahoma
- Rhode Island
- Utah
FanDuel Predicts initially launched in December 2025 with a limited offering in Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota, and South Dakota. With the latest additions, the platform is now live in 18 states, though there’s still ample room for growth compared to competitors like Kalshi and Polymarket, which operate nationwide. DraftKings Predictions currently leads the sector with availability in 38 states.
Still Missing Key Markets
Despite the rapid rollout, FanDuel Predicts remains unavailable in 31 states, including major markets like New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. Interestingly, all three already have legal online sports betting, suggesting FanDuel is prioritizing underserved regions for its prediction market product.
Other states likely to be late arrivals include Nevada, New Jersey, and Maryland, which have historically resisted prediction markets to protect their existing online gambling ecosystems.
Here’s a snapshot of where FanDuel Predicts is not yet available:
Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
FanDuel Predicts’ expansion into California and Texas underscores the company’s strategy to prioritize high-population, underserved markets, setting the stage for a nationwide rollout over the coming years.
