The Lodge Card Club Teams Up with Kalshi as Official Predictive Market Partner

Texas poker hotspot The Lodge Card Club has announced a new partnership with prediction market leader Kalshi, naming the platform its official “predictive market partner” for upcoming livestreams. The deal positions Kalshi front and center in the Texas poker scene, where legal sports betting remains unavailable, giving the company unique access to a massive audience.

Why the Partnership Makes Sense

Kalshi dominates U.S.-facing prediction markets, particularly in sports, while The Lodge enjoys credibility in poker circles thanks to co-owner Doug Polk, a well-known poker personality. The collaboration mirrors previous deals, such as Polymarket’s partnership with Hustler Casino Live, although regulatory differences mean Kalshi is able to offer event contracts related to tournament fields, which Polymarket’s U.S. site cannot.

Early Signs: Branding and Visibility

While betting markets are not yet live on The Lodge streams, Kalshi already has significant on-screen placement:

  • A logo appears prominently in the top-left corner of the livestream next to ClubWPT Gold branding.

  • A second logo is displayed above the community cards, fully visible during overhead camera shots.

  • Ads appear mid-stream, emphasizing Kalshi’s availability in all 50 U.S. states and over 140 countries, and promoting trading on outcomes ranging from sports and politics to music and crypto.

Legal Questions Linger

Some of Kalshi’s claims—such as trading outcomes “against your peers rather than the house”—have drawn scrutiny. Kalshi Trading LLC, which provides liquidity for many markets, is currently facing a class-action lawsuit.

Kalshi’s Growing Poker Presence

This deal expands Kalshi’s footprint in the poker world. Recently, it launched a market for whether the WSOP Main Event will attract 10,000 entries, and it maintains a sporadic promotion deal with poker star Daniel Negreanu, including WSOP seat giveaways for Kalshi users.

Poker players, known for their appetite for prop bets, represent a natural audience for Kalshi’s diverse contracts, which range from sports totals to unusual events like New York snowfall or A$AP Rocky album sales. The partnership with The Lodge positions the company to further tap into this demographic while exploring new markets for predictive wagering.
